Lasted 4 years and the compressor went out. Not sure if thats average but sure is upsetting when you spend thst much and have to replace it way too soon.

We had a problem with the ice door and called the store that we bought it from and they sent out a repairman and he showed up with the part and he replaced it and everything works great!! Super service

This product has 2 slide out lower drawers. There is a center rail that supports the drawers. Unfortunately, the engineering of this rail was not thoroughly tested to absorb everyday use. This part has already broken 5 times. It is also very difficult to reach anyone to either discuss this issue or to order a replacement part.
Additionally, other components are flimsy. Would not recommend.

The refrigerator works great, however sometimes the icemaker freezes and you have to remove the ice container and run hot water over the metal rod to melt. In front of refrigerator where you place your glass to fill, is all rusted. Nothing removes the rust.

I bought my new fridge recently and love everything about it! The space and options to adjust the shelving so everything fits and is easy to see and get to. The only issue is the water filter is not easy to replace. Even the fridge guy struggled to get it properly in place. I am very happy with the look, capacity and features of this fridge.

We bought ours 3 years ago and had problems within the first year. First we had to have the mother board replaced, a year later the ice maker stopped working and needed parts replaced, then a year later the compressor went out. Our service tech suggested we get rid of it because it was a money pit. We finally put it outside and purchased a GE model. Hopefully we won't have as many issues. I used to swear by Whirlpool and now after throwing away almost $2000 my standing by Whirlpool quality is gone. We are senior citizens and having to spend our savings on a new appliance really hurt. I hope Whirlpool updates the quality of their products or they won't be around much longer.

I like it but one issue with the lower deli drawer. Don™™t particularly like the lid design as I had a previous refridge with the slide up lid and it was broken in a short amount of time by a careless person. Fear that could happen on this as well,

I didn™™t select - came with my home purchase. Large enough. Ice maker has its own mind and I can™™t open drawer when blockages.
Plastic door bins are not durable - I™™ve had to replace 2 @ $130 each. Difficult to impossible to clean bottom of freezer bins. I probably wouldn™™t buy this model again.

Came with a New Build from the developer, the freezer has always been a problem. It freezers the complete assembly, you can hear the agitator is not turning since its completely frozen inside.

Our 2023 Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator has been a big disappointment. After only 5 months the seals on the door were cracking and needed to be replaced. The Tech who came out to our house told us that he had replaced 5 of these exact seals in the last month and the quality issue was well known within the industry. I contacted Whirlpool and I was given an additional one year warranty on the refrigerator and given specific instructions on how to open & close the French Doors to prevent the seals from breaking. Unfortunately, the seals are cracking & breaking off again and only after one month out of the extended warranty. I sincerely believe the door seals on this refrigerator are either defective or a poor design. All of the appliances in our house are Whirlpool because I had always thought they had the best quality. I now think I was wrong and need to file a complaint with the State of Ohio Attorney Generals Office. Maybe they can investigate if this refrigerator seal issue is truly a known defect problem.

Trash Product. This model has a terrible design flaw. The doors seals have a flap on them and if the opposite door is closed on top of it and the other door opened, it pulls on the flap eventually tearing the seal. I had the seal replaced once under warranty and less than a year. The seal tore again the following year outside of warranty and whirlpool refused to do anything about it. Horrible product and horrible customer service. Will never buy another whirlpool or Maytag product. They aren™™t built to last.

Solid refrigerator but ice maker somehow grinds the ice to certain extent regardless that we never turn on crunching ice feature. So, instead of normal ice cubes we get half the glass with semi normal and quite a few pieces of broken cubes.

I had to pay several hundred dollars to have someone come in and replace the tracks on the freezer. One was bent and would not allow the freezer to close and seal. I paid this because even with the warranty and extended warranty, I could not get the service. I was intentionally given the runaround instead of the assistance I expected and paid for!

6 months of ownership. All Whirlpool appliances were included. I don™™t have a good opinion of any of them yet. The refrigerator is the noisiest one I™™ve ever had. Runs non stop, the ice maker is like an earthquake and water accumulates daily on top of the freezer outer door seal.

Purchased this French Door refrigerator 2yrs. ago and have had issues. Right off the start, there were condensation problems on the top part of the freezer door. It took quite awhile for a repair person to acquire the correct piece to correct it. Now, there is a problem with the control panel clear cover; it is popping off the panel. It™™s about to fall off but I™™m not willing to shed more money on repairs. It will probably mean the cost of an entirely new control panel and a repair person to install™¦$$ Though the control panel still works.

Right from the beginning under warranty there were problems with the unit, so I bought an insurance policy for five years and have had to use the policy more than once. Your refrigerator should have been built better and much more endurable. Old refrigerators with fewer features used to last 10 years or so without repairs™™™as a 97 year old, I know.

Always had trouble with ice maker. The ice would jam in the door and spill over. Now the water leaks and the tray where the ice accumulates freezes up causing the ice not to come out of the dispenser. Also the left door does not close without manually moving the panel to close the door

We purchased ours several years ago and have had service on the ice maker several times we have a 5 year warranty and the guts have been replaced our issue isn't with making ice but getting it to drop out the cubes get stuck together continuously and we have to manually get them out and not an easy task as the unit is in a tight space. At this point we hate this unit didn't plan on having a thumping noise every time we tried to get ice.

Avoid this model or similar ones available. We purchased this appliance in June, 2024. We are into our fourth service call to repair the ice maker. The first was within three months of the initial purchase date. BTW the icemaker is not a Whirlpool product, it is made by another company and installed by Whirlpool. This repair includes an out-of-the pocket expense to repair/replace. We were informed by the service spokesperson that ice makers located in the refrigerator portion have the most problems, whereas, icemakers in the freezer portion of the appliance do not. This appliance's icemaker is located in the refrigerator portion. The available space in our kitchen is limited, so we needed to find a model that "fit". Our experience with this model has not been satisfactory. And yes this produce is "Poor".
