The toaster visually looks great in my kitchen. However, to even get a slice of toast slightly brown, you have to turn it to the highest level. I™™m disappointed because it™™s visually very appealing, just doesn™™t toast/brown/crunch well :(

Purchased the GE 4 Slice G9TMA4SSPSS toaster 5/18/25 from Best Buy. On 6/5/26 it stopped popping the toast up and the cancel button quit working. Burnt Toast! Would Not Recommend this toaster!

Upon placing my first slice of toast in the GE 4 - Slice Toaster, the toast came out perfectly even on both sides and perfectly brown set at the 4 1/2 setting, maybe a tinge of a difference but still pleased. A slight odor at the beginning to most likely burn off the elements. After that, the toaster was fine. Easy to use settings illuminated in blue and the dial settings have positive clicks. I opted for the stainless version as I am quite satisfied as to the quality and performance. The large sized toaster slots are very welcome as one can place Texas toast or bagels within with no problems. Quite pop up mode when toast is finished. About three minutes for one slice of toast set at 4 1/2 .

It™™s too soon to rate this product as we just bought it, but after 30+ years with its predecessor, the GE four slice stainless steel toaster, we went searching for this replacement. Our only regret was that more stores didn™™t have it in stock or easily for sale online. Still, we ordered one from Home Depot, took only a week for instore pick up. So far we love it, and it™™s pretty much the same, a bit improved on buttons, lights around them. But beautiful and solid, with great toasting! We keep it out on counter.

This is a nice large slot toaster. It makes great toast with it's settings pretty true. The only issue I have with it is the push down handle, which seems to be an afterthought to an otherwise well designed appliance.

So far I like the toaster. My last two were Cuisinarts. They are more expensive but don™™t toast evenly.
The GE maybe takes a little longer but I like that the bagels or rolls come out crisp on the outside but softer on the inside.
The controls however are a little harder to turn.

This toaster is a great toaster. I like that you can toast only 2 slices of bread at a time. The only thing i wish is that that the slots were a little longer for wider slices of bread.

Cannot see the toast level knob settings. It gets washed out in the stainless steel look. This should be addressed. I had to mark ™dots™ with a black marker to see the set level.

I think the product need more insulation barrier because after you finish toasting or while toasting the toaster is very hot to the touch on my counter top at #3 sitting. Need to be careful around small children. NOT KIDS FRIENDLY.

This toaster is awesome! Does someone in your house like their toast dark? No problem. Set the dial and pop in the bread. Does someone else like it lightly toasted? No problem. Set the dial and pop in the bread. You can toast a bagel on one side and toast on the other at the same time! No more waiting in line to use the toaster!

We decided to try a GE Brand of toaster. What a classy elegant 4 slice toaster! It is simple to use. The design is classy, clean, and functional. We love the variety of toast options that has 7 shades of doneness. We especially love how turning the knob "clicks" to the number selected to how much you want your toast done (lightly to dark). The slots are big enough for anything you want toasted. It toasts everything perfectly. This toaster was well thought out. It looks great on our countertop. It is easy to clean as well. We also got it at a great sales price. We would highly recommend this GE 4 slice toaster.

This GE 4-slice toaster is easy to use with dials for selecting 7 shades of browning and buttons to select frozen, bagel or cancel. The stainless steel unit is nice-looking, and does not take up a lot of counter space. The only disappointment is in the size of the toasting slots -- although they can accommodate thick slices, they are only 5.5" long, so the longer styles of bread must be cut shorter to fit.

Ok. Well. We have had friends make fun of us in how long we keep damaged or poorly performing toasters. Our last one required that we tape the cord to the bottom of the upper cabinets so as to circumvent the power cord electrical short. Hey! We got 30 years out of that unit. But they aren't making fun of us anymore. Our new GE rocks! Clean. Attractive. Functional. Our first piece of toast was perfect. I set the darkness to #4 and it popped out timely and in perfect toasted condition. We are very pleased with the product.

Evenly toasts on both sides. A little slower than my old toaster and the shade controls are hard to read. I wish the crumb tray pulled out from the front, the slots are plenty wide. If i were designing this is would have made the numbers on the shade control easier to read with a distintive mark or raised area on dial to tell where it's pointed.

Produces great toast but even after 8 months, the toaster emits the smell of burning plastic upon use. I make sure to clean out the crumb tray and have not toasted anything sticky, but the smell persists.
I had a GE dishwasher that was also having this problem with the dry cycle, so I guess GE heating elements are incompatible with some part of the construction.
